Barry Lee Gaulrapp was born on April 29, 1948 in Wheaton, Minnesota to Dwayne and Bernice (Wolberson) Gaulrapp. He grew up in Wheaton and attended school where he excelled on the football team as an all-state player. He graduated from WHS in 1966 and enlisted in the National Guard where he served for six years.

Barry was united in marriage to Pam Putt on August 1, 1970. They made their home in Lakeville, Minnesota. They were blessed with three children: Christopher, Corey and Tracy. Barry, Pam and the kids enjoyed lots of time at their trailer on Cedar Lake near Aitkin, Minnesota. Fishing, campfires and family time became treasured memories for Barry's outdoor loving family. Barry and Pam were married for thirty-one years. Pam passed away on May 20, 2001 after her own battle with cancer. Barry worked for many years for the US West/Quest Telephone Company until he retired.

Barry moved back to Wheaton in 2001. He and Susan (Lichtsinn) were united in marriage on May 19, 2006. His family then grew to include Susan's four children: Tanya, Tami, Ryan and Darin. Barry and Susan enjoyed many summers at their home on Lake Traverse with family and good friends. He enjoyed lots of fishing, boat rides and campfires - at which we could always count on many entertaining "Barry Stories"! Barry also returned to work at the Traverse County Highway Department where he made lifelong friends! He and Susan also enjoyed many special trips with family and friends. Barry and Susan were inseparable; one was rarely without the other!

Barry is survived by his wife Susan of Wheaton; father Dwayne Gaulrapp of Wheaton; three children: Chris (Nicole) Gaulrapp of Monticello, Minnesota; Corey Gaulrapp of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Tracy (fiancé Jon) Castner of Robinsdale, Minnesota; four siblings: Monica Keppler of Wheaton; Jerry (Robyn) Gaulrapp of Warroad, Minnesota; Joetta (Brad) Jacobs of Wheaton; and Scott Gaulrapp of Wheaton; four step-children: Tanya (John) Braaten of Wheaton; Tami Lubben of Wheaton; Ryan Gronwold of Moorhead, Minnesota; and Darin (Kristen) Gronwold of Alexandria, Minnesota; five grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Barry was preceded in death by his mother Bernice; wife Pam (Putt) Gaulrapp; and sister Rosella Conroy.

Barry will forever be remembered as brave and strong until his last day. His memory will live on in our hearts forever and he will be greatly missed by his family and so many dear friends.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered "Come to me."
