Bruce William Rinke was born February 14, 1950 in Wheaton, Minnesota to Lester and Yvonne (Jacobs) Rinke. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Dumont, Minnesota. He grew up on the family farm outside of Dumont in Dollymount Township. He was involved in the family farming operations his whole life. It was his love.

Upon graduation from Wheaton High School in 1968 he continued to farm alongside his father and brothers. In 1971 he married Nancy Kellen in Herman, Minnesota. The couple resided on a farm outside of Dumont for nearly eighteen years. In that time three children were born: Courtney, Heather and Cody. Bruce also served his country in the National Guard from 1968 until 1974.

In 1987 they moved to Wheaton and still reside in the same house today. In 2001 Bruce retired from farming and went to work for Jon and Casey Miller of rural Wahpeton, North Dakota. Working there gave him the freedom to attend his children's school events - in those years he especially loved following his sons wrestling and football events.

After his children were all out of school he decided to change career paths again and went to work for Lake Valley Trucking in Wheaton. He spent ten years over the road. He enjoyed seeing a lot of different country side. In 2015 Bruce decided to retire from trucking and be home to spend more time with his wife, children, grandchildren and time at the lake.

Full retirement was not an option for him though as anyone who knew him would tell you. So he went to work for his younger brother and nephew back out at the farm. He was back at the place he loved. He worked alongside his brother, nephews, niece and old friends. He also got to make new friends along the way and enjoyed working side by side with them. A tragic farm accident on November 17th took Bruce from us on November 18th when he went home to his Lord and Savior. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but we will be with him again someday.

Bruce is survived by his wife of forty-six years Nancy Rinke of Wheaton; daughters: Courtney (special friend Jeff Ortley) Christians of Wheaton; and Heather Rinke of Clarkfield, MN; son Cody (Morgan) Rinke of Beardsley, MN; seven grandchildren: Keira, Landon and Caleb Rinke, and Kadaan, Ainsley, Remington and Sutton Christians; brothers: Orlynn (Jana) Rinke of Underwood, MN; and Joel (Nancy Jo) Rinke of Wheaton; sister Joan (Ed) Selnes of St. Paul, MN; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Yvonne Rinke and parents-in-law Levern Kellen and Anna Mae (Rice) Kellen.
