Chris was born October 26, 1972 at Stevens County Hospital to Jerry and Gloria Dalseide. He was a 1991 High School Graduate of the Herman-Norcross High School. He was employed as a back-hoe operator for several contractors. His work brought him to South Dakota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Iowa, Utah, Kansas and Northern Minnesota. Chris's work included decontamination, water/sewer, rural water, constructing rice patties and golf course construction. In recent years Chris was a local grave digger.

In January of 2007 Chris was diagnosed with a rare incurable cancer called: Pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP). He fought hard and endured much pain for ten and a half years. Chris set goals for himself for example: he wanted to see and experience each life milestone with his son Payton. Throughout the ten and a half years, Chris kept a positive, upbeat attitude, along with a sense of humor.

Chris truly loved life to its fullest every day through the simple pleasures of chatting with friends and family, gardening, cooking/grilling and of course hunting/fishing trips with Payton. He taught Payton everything he knew on hunting, fishing, the value and importance of family, hard work ethic, creating life-long friendships and enjoying everyday life experiences.

Chris always said, "The best day of his life was the day his son was born, Payton Matthew Dalseide"

Chris survived by his son Payton Dalseide; adopted-daughter Kendra Kramer and her son, Kayden; parents Jerry and Gloria Dalseide; sister and brother-in-law Angie and James Marohl; two nieces: Amanda Marohl and Amber Marohl; his wonderful neighborhood moms and dad; uncles: Charles Dalseide, Gordon Dalseide and Kent Arneson ; aunts: Joan Greene, Grace Arneson; and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Christopher and Margaret Greene, and Ivan and Gladys Dalseide; uncles: John Greene and Floyd Aure.
