Dorine Johnson

A Memorial Service for Dorine Johnson of LaHabra, California, formerly of Wheaton, Minnesota, will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Monson Township, Minnesota with Rev. Michael Breach officiating. Organist will be Donylin Oliver with special music provided by Bonnie Jean and Mike O'Doonan. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church. Inurnment will be held in Graceland Cemetery, rural White Rock, South Dakota. Dorine Dala Marie Johnson, daughter of Ervin and Martha (Steinwehr) Prochnow, was born April 17, 1926 in Hankinson, Greendale Township, Richland County, North Dakota and died at the age of 87 on August 10, 2013 in LaHabra, California. She married Carl "Dayton" Johnson, son of Carl and Marie (Erickson) Johnson on October 23, 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dorine and Dayton were blessed with two children: daughter Carla Mae Ullrich and son Lynn Ray Johnson; four grandchildren: Kyle Ullrich, Kevin Ullrich, Kelsey Ullrich and Joshua Johnson; five great-grandchildren: Little Kevin and Kaylen Ullrich, Cody Schwartberger, Elijah and Kaylie Johnson. Dorine is survived by her daughter Carla, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, her brother Donald Prochnow, his wife Dorothy, sister-in-law Florence (Alvin) Prochnow, and many nieces and nephews. Dorine was preceded in death by her husband Dayton (1994), son Lynn (2005), parents Ervin (1944) and Martha (1945), brothers Alvin (1993), Delbert (1957), Willis (1965) Prochnow and sister Aldena Frey (1948).
