Dorothy Fabian, age 92, of Herman, Minnesota passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Barrett Care Center in Barrett, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Herman with Rev. Irving Arnquist officiating. Organist will be Olivia Richards with special music by Greg Sperr.
Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Herman. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Mark Hilbrand, Todd Hilbrand, Jason Holthusen, Scott Holthusen, Rob Holthusen and Tate Keller. Honorary Pallbearers will be granddaughters: Wendy Stoddard, Kayla Berndt and Kassie Pauly.
Visitation will be held Tuesday morning one hour prior to service time at the church.
Dorothy Mae Kjorness was born March 13, 1926 to Thorvald and Mabel Kjorness. She graduated from Herman High School in 1944. She married Erwin Fabian September 14, 1945 at the parsonage in Elbow Lake, Minnesota. To thus union three daughters were born: Diane, Sharon and Kathy.
Dorothy enjoyed doing daycare for several families over the years. She was involved in her church circle and legion auxiliary. She also enjoyed having coffee with friends.
Dorothy is survived by three daughters: Diane (Derald) Hilbrand of Herman, MN; Sharon (Myron) Holthusen of Wahpeton, ND and Kathy (Steve) Keller of Tintah, MN; grandchildren: Mark (Chelsea Carpenter) Hilbrand of San Diego, CA; Todd (Becca) Hilbrand of Alexandria, MN; Jason Holthusen of Fargo, ND; Scott (Carrie) Holthusen of Excelsior, MN; Robbie (Angie) Holthusen of Horace, ND; Tate (Stacy) Keller of Breckenridge, MN; Wendy (Shad) Stoddard of Kindred, ND; Kayla (Chris) Berndt of Wahpeton, ND; and Kassie (Brandon) Pauly of Wahpeton, ND; twenty-five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson Chad Hilbrand; brothers Ted and Raymond; sisters: Millie Schuman, Lenora Volker, Delores Moldenhauer and Linda Rarer; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews.
