Eldon was born on May 21, 1934 in Traverse County, Minnesota to Edward and Olga (Will) Erickson and was a Traverse County resident most of his life. Eldon farmed with his brothers Bernard Erickson and Robert Conner until his retirement.
On June 7, 1996 Eldon had a stroke that left his left side paralyzed, so his home for the last twenty years was the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton. He was well liked. He had his picture taken many times for different activities there. He'd been their president of the Resident Council. In one of their write ups for meeting the residents he said "He enjoyed country music, and Johnny Cash was his favorite." His favorite color was blue and his favorite holiday was Christmas. He was good at the trivia games, especially at history and geography.
Eldon is survived by his brother Bernard (Beverly) Erickson of Wheaton; sisters: Betty Teske of Odessa, Minnesota; and Irene (Russel) Fults of Morris, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews.
Eldon was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Robert and George Conner, sister Ann Knapp and nephew Bernard E. Erickson.
