Eunice Kjorness

Eunice Kjorness, age 77, of Herman, Minnesota passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Barrett Care Center in Barrett, Minnesota.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Herman with Rev. Irving Arnquist officiating. Organist will be Olivia Richards with special music by Laura Benson.

Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, rural Herman. Pallbearers will be Justin Kjorness, Tom Blume, Ronald Volker, Travis Kjorness, Gary Volker and Scott Kjorness. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brayden Ness, Jordan Kjorness and Joshua Kjorness.

Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Eunice Mae Kjorness was born on September 10, 1941 in Morris, MN to Homer and Bernice Wagner. Eunice attend school in Herman through eleventh grade and was confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church in Herman in 1959.

On December 16, 1967 Eunice was married to Raymond Kjorness at Bethel Lutheran Church in Herman where they both were lifelong members. After they were married, they settled on the Kjorness Family Farm where they took over the farming operation. To this union two children were born. After they retired from farming they moved to Herman.

Eunice enjoyed sewing, playing cards, watching TV, doing crossword puzzles and mostly spending time with family and friends. Eunice cherished her four grandchildren: Justin, Joshua, Jordan and Brayden.

Eunice is survived by her two children: Jeff (Juli) Kjorness of Danube, MN and Lisa (Gary) Ness of Cyrus, MN; and four grandchildren: Justin, Joshua and Jordan Kjorness and Brayden Ness.

Eunice was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters-in-law: Linda (George) Rarer; Mildred (H. "Scotty") Schuman; Lenora (Bernard) Volker; Dorothy (Erwin) Fabian and Delores (Donald) Moldenhauer; and brother-in-law Ted (Clarice) Kjorness.
