Flora Budke

Funeral Service for Flora Jean Budke, 82, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ranney Funeral Home in Wheaton, with Rev. Charles Horkey officiating. Pallbearers will be Joel Kern, James Kern, Will Budke, Katherine Budke, Josh Budke, Adam Budke and Jenna Budke. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ted & Gerald Siltman. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 18th from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Ranney Funeral Home in Wheaton. Flora was born August 14, 1925 in Wheaton, Minnesota to Edwin and Eleanore (Schroder) Mielke. She graduated from Wheaton High School in 1943. Flora worked as a waitress in Wheaton, and as a secretary and filing clerk in St. Paul, Minnesota. She then took Normal Training and taught school in Wheaton. Flora also worked as a secretary in the hardware store. She married Ralph W. Budke March 9, 1947 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton. After her marriage, she became a mother and homemaker, caring for her children. Flora passed away September 16, 2007 at the CountrySide Inn Assisted Living Center in Rosholt, South Dakota. Flora enjoyed reading, gardening & flowers. Flora is survived by her husband: Ralph Budke of Wheaton, Minnesota, three children: Carol (Mike) Kern of Dent, Minnesota, Roger (Alana) Budke of Wheaton, Minnesota & Keith (Nancy) Budke of Wheaton, Minnesota, Seven Grandchildren: Joel & James Kern, Will & Katherine Budke, & Josh, Adam & Jenna Budke, two brothers-in-law: Ronald O. Budke and Clarence (Ruth) Budke, Nieces & Nephews: Ted (Renae) Siltman, Gerald Siltman, Susanne Siltman, Sandy (Rick) Nelson, Elaine (Gary) McCaine, Marlene (John) Freeman, Peggy Mitbo, Wayne (Cindy) Budke, Timothy (Rachel) Budke, Susan Ward & Elizabeth Sprinkle. Flora was preceded in death by her parents, Sister: Virginia (Siltman), 3 brothers-in-law: William Siltman, Myron and Oren Budke, one niece and one nephew.
