Funeral service for Florence M. Lillehaug, age 84, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota, with Rev. Michael Breach officiating. Pallbearers will be some of the grandchildren: Danielle Sagissor, Chastity Atkinson, George Sagissor IV, David Mueller, Matthew Sagissor, Philip Sagissor, Tina Lundquist and Jana Sagissor. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wheaton. Visitation will be held at the Ranney-Bainbridge Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 11, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m., with Rev. George Sagissor officiating. Visitation will continue Wednesday morning one hour prior to the service time at the church. Florence Marie Lillehaug was born in Milbank, South Dakota, on July 27, 1929, to parents, Vincent and Catherine (Wimmer) Schell. She grew up in Milbank and received her education there. Florence was united in marriage to George W. Sagissor Jr. in 1948, at Milbank. To this union, three sons were born: George III, James, and Steven. On June 6, 1957, she married James A. Lillehaug at Milbank. Shortly after their marriage, Jim and Florence moved to Wheaton, Minnesota. During her adult life, Florence worked as a waitress in Milbank, was the bookkeeper for Jim's Eastside Garage in Wheaton, and was also the Director of Custodial Services for the Traverse County Nursing Home (now Traverse Care Center) in Wheaton for many years until retirement. She was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton. Among Florence's many interests were gardening and caring for her pets, especially her dogs. She was also an excellent homemaker and cook, and her sons and their families were always very important to her. Florence suffered a serious stroke in May, 2013, and shortly thereafter entered the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton. She was called to her eternal home in heaven on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at the age of 84 years. Florence is survived by three sons: Rev. George (Julene) Sagissor III of Clear Lake, Minnesota, James (Monica) Sagissor of Wheaton, and Steven (Amy Miller) Sagissor of Pinconning, Michigan; nine grandchildren: Danielle Sagissor (Brian Andvik) of Wheaton, Chastity Atkinson (Marty Patrick) of Melrose, Minnesota, Jamie Marie (Edy) Rivera of Orlando, Florida, George Sagissor IV of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Matthew (Emily) Sagissor of Moorhead, Minnesota, Miriam (David) Mueller of Isle, Minnesota, Philip (Chelsea) Sagissor of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota, Tina (Steven) Lundquist of Wheaton, and Jana Sagissor (Dustin Peyton) of Wheaton; 16 great grandchildren; one brother, James (Gloria) Schell of St. Paul, Minnesota; three sisters-in-law, Betty Schell and Joan Schell of Milbank, and Hazel Schell of Crete, Illinois; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Florence was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; four brothers, Raymond Schell, Francis Schell, Vincent Schell, and William Schell; and one sister-in-law, Maxine Schell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Lutheran Island Camp or St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton.
