Francis "Bud" Mord, age 95, of Wheaton, Minnesota passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Grace Home in Graceville, Minnesota.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton with Rev. Michael Breach officiating. Organist will be Sara Lee Rinke.

Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wheaton. Honorary Urn Bearers will be Francis's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, April 6th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Bainbridge Funeral Home in Wheaton. Visitation will continue Saturday morning one hour prior to service time at the church.

Francis "Bud" William Mord was born August 5, 1922 in Russell, Minnesota to Carl and Clara (Pope) Mord. He was baptized November 1, 1924 in the home of Rev. Henning near Lynd, Minnesota. Bud moved to Wheaton in 1942 with his parents to a farm in Walls Township. He farmed until 1996. Bud met Lois Lake and the couple was married on December 20, 1943 in Graceville, Minnesota. They were blessed with one daughter and three sons. Lois passed away on October 24, 1975.

On November 27, 1993 Bud and Audrey (Mitteness) were united in marriage at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota. They resided in Wheaton until Bud entered the Grace Home in Graceville, Minnesota in 2015 where he lived until his death.

Bud was a true farmer in all aspects, besides his love of farming, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and poker parties with his buddies. He was a member of Traverse County Sportsman, board member of the REA, board member of the Wheaton Elevator, first member in Traverse County to join the NFO, and an elder in St. John Lutheran Church.

Bud is survived by his wife Audrey Mord of Wheaton; daughter Jeanette Wickander of Houston, Texas; sons: Tom (Kathy) Mord of Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, Canada; David (Shirley) Mord of Brandon, Minnesota; and Steve (Renee) Mord of Wheaton; sister Margie Kleven of Hastings, Minnesota; stepsons: Paul (Sandy) Mitteness of Wheaton; and Phillip (Kristine) Mitteness of Lakeville, Minnesota; stepdaughter Leah (Paul) Thielen of Wheaton; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lois; sister Vivian and husband Bill; sister Verna and husband Bud; and nephew Robert Smith.
