Geraldyne Marie Kassahn, age 86, of Wheaton, Minnesota passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Browns Valley Health Center in Browns Valley, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be Monday, March 19, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bainbridge Funeral Home in Wheaton with Rev. Michael Breach officiating. Organist will be Sara Lee Rinke with special music provided by Paul Boatman.
Interment will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Monson Township, Minnesota. Pallbearers will be Michael Faulkner, Justin Meyer, Brian Faulkner, Daniel Faulkner, Justin Larson and Adam Campbell.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 18th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Bainbridge Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Monday morning one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Geraldyne was born July 21, 1931 in Mora, Minnesota to Francis and Irene (Grifrentrog) Mattson. Geri liked to raise gardens and grow flowers-those were her greatest hobbies. She was united in marriage to Virgil Kassahn on August 1, 1975. Virgil and Geri lived and farmed north of Wheaton for many years before moving into Wheaton. Geri and Virgil loved to travel and took many trips including snowmobile trips. Geri loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always had lots of pictures of them around the house.
Geraldyne is survived by her husband Virgil Kassahn of Wheaton; Children: Ken (Toni) Faulkner of Anthony, New Mexico; Allen (Luella) Faulkner of Murdo, South Dakota; Suzy (TJ) Kai of San Antonio, Texas; Patsy (Paul) Boatman of Grand Forks, North Dakota; Mike (Mary) Faulkner of Rothsay, Minnesota; Annette O'Keefe of St. Paul, Minnesota; and Randy (Ruth) Faulkner of Breckenridge, Minnesota; step-children: Jean (Philip) Meyer of Hankinson, North Dakota; Vernon (Della) Kassahn of St. Cloud, Minnesota; Glen Kassahn of Fergus Falls, Minnesota; Cheryl (Jeremiah) Herding of Hankinson, North Dakota; sisters: Gert Miller, Donna Pollack and Dee-Dee Jackson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
Geraldyne was preceded in death by a son Jim Faulkner; and two brothers Alfred and Arnold Mattson.
