Harvey Fickes

Funeral Service for Harvey B. Fickes, age 86, of Bluff City, Tennessee, formerly of Herman, Minnesota, will be held Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Ranney-Bainbridge Funeral Home in Herman, Minnesota. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, rural Herman, Minnesota. Harvey was a native of Herman, Minnesota and moved to the Bristol, Tennessee area in 1963. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the South Pacific during WWII. He retired from the Firestone Rubber Company. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Harvey went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Harvey is survived by one daughter, Nancy Hyatt and husband, Jim of Bristol, Tennessee, two sons, Rodney Fickes and wife, Kathy of Bluff City, Tennessee and Daniel Fickes and wife, Sharon of Brooks, Kentucky; two brothers, Gordon Fickes of California and Raymond Fickes of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Misty Tester and husband, David; Christy Huff and husband, Doug and Angela Wilholt and husband, Andy; and six great-grandchildren. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Ruth Fickes; wife, Adeline Fickes and two brothers, Ralph and Cecil Fickes.
