Irene Raguse

Funeral services for Irene Mae Raguse will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 4th, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Monson Church with Pastor Charles Horkey officiating. Visitation for Irene will be held Sunday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Ranney Funeral Home in Wheaton. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran. Church cemetery. Pallbearers are all of Irenes grandchildren. Irene passed away Friday morning, January 1st, 2010 at the Rosholt Care Center, Rosholt, SD surrounded by her family. Irene Mae was born in Menomonie, Wisconsin on June 26th, 1922 to Emil & Adelia (Trettian) Weisser. She was baptized on August 13th, 1922. The family moved to Taylor Township in Traverse County in 1930. Irene was confirmed on September 1st, 1935 at Immanual Lutheran Monson Church. She attended school district 60 in Taylor Township until the 8th grade, and then attended Wheaton Public Schools for 2 years. She then transferred to Morris Agriculture where she graduated. Irene worked in Minneapolis & Wheaton until marrying Raymond Klugman on January 22, 1945. They were blessed with 2 children, Dennis and Kathleen. They raised their family on a farm north of Wheaton. Raymond passed away on August 24th, 1974. On January 20th, 1979, Irene married Edwin Raguse. Irene & Edwin enjoyed spending time with family at Ten Mile Lake. Edwin passed away on February 12th, 1998. Irene was active in Immanuel Lutheran Church and participated in Ladies Aid and the Homemakers club. Irene enjoyed spending time visiting with friends and family. All who knew her appreciated her quick wit and knew that smiles and laughter came easily. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, and watching the many birds that visited her feeders regularly. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and one sister Lois Smith. Irene is survived by her brother Cliff (Arlene) Weisser of Battle Lake, Minnesota, two children: Dennis (Kathy) Klugman of Wheaton and Kathleen (Doug) Gary of Castlewood, South Dakota, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; Scott (Jaime) Gary and child Dustin, Shari (Jason Molecek) Briggs and children Ashley Maehren, Kayla and Karissa Molecek, Trisha Gary, Crystal (John) Wiles and children Jackson and Jameson, Randy Klugman, Shanna (Mathew) Wohlenhaus and Adelyn. Irene is also survived byChildren: William Raguse, Gwen (David) Krenz, Steven Raguse, all of Wheaton, andPatricia (Ross) Pfund of Ada, Minnesota.Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren Warren Raguse, Charlotte (Alan) Heime and children Chase and Faith, Joshua Raguse, Chester (Jessica) Raguse, Aaron (Monica) Krenz and children Ellie and Katelyn, Neil and son Gavin Krenz, Thomas Krenz, Elizabeth (Jeremy) Rasmussen, Ross Jr. (Stephanie) Pfund, Lou Raguse and fianc Emily, Betsy Raguse, and Carly Raguse.
