John Ballweber

Memorial service for John Ballweber, 45, of Dumont, Minnesota, previously of Minneapolis will be held Friday, October 1, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Ranney Funeral Home in Wheaton, Minnesota with Rev. Tom Olson officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held an hour prior to service time at the funeral home. John is survived by his parents: Howard and Joyce Ballweber of Dumont, Minnesota, four children: Mathew, Christopher, Jaymie and Dakota Ballweber, two grandsons: Tyler and Isaiah, two sisters: Brenda Ballweber of Hibbing, Minnesota and Becky (Keith) Anderson of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, one brother: Joseph Ballweber of Coon Rapids, Minnesota and nephews: Andrew, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Lukas and Nicholas. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and listening to music. Football (Vikings) and baseball (Twins) were a big part of his life. He really enjoyed getting together with people and playing cards. John enjoyed spending time with his family and loved the time he was able to spend with his sons and grandson's. John battled and won his fight with cancer. He also battled and won his fight with alcoholism. We are all very proud of him and will miss him dearly.
