Kathryn E. Clemo

Kathryn E. Clemo, daughter of Ernest N. and Genevieve (McDougall) Gauffin, was born on September 23, 1946. She passed away peacefully at Sanford Medical Center – Wheaton, MN on January 12, 2026.

She graduated from Mapleton, ND High School in 1964. Kathy married Bernard Michel on July 31, 1966, in Fargo, ND and resided in Jamestown, N.D. during their marriage. From that marriage two daughters were born, Barbara and Theresa. They later divorced.

Kathy is survived by her daughters: Barbara Michel and Theresa (Zachary) Lafferty; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren and one arriving in May 2026; her brother Gary (Kerry) Gauffin, Lino Lakes, MN; sister-in-law Loree Gauffin, Fargo, ND; and sister, Jane Schmit of Oakdale, MN; as well as a number of aunts, an uncle and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernie and Gen and brother David.
