Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Rev. Dan Gifford officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Burial will be held following the service in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
LeMoyne Walter Bock was born on March 29, 1930 to Walter and Esther (Frolich) Bock in Wheaton, Minnesota. He married June Armbruster on March 8 in 1952. June passed away on January 8 of 1997. LeMoyne lived in Wheaton his entire life never wanting to live anywhere else.
Throughout his lifetime, LeMoyne wore many “hats,” always willing to work hard and help where he was needed. He started out working at Green Giant picking corn by hand. When people would talk about the golf course, he would tell them how he would mow the whole golf course by hand for 25 cents an hour. He had seen this ring in the jewelry store which became his favorite, so at the age of 14 he went and stomped wool in order to get enough money to buy it. LeMoyne then worked at Powers Produce and also at his dad’s store, Walter Bocks Produce. After Bocks Produce closed he settled in as a carpenter. Also, he spent 17 years mowing for Wildwood Cemetery.
LeMoyne was a very special man who will be remembered for countless reasons. One of the most memorable was his generosity—he was always bringing candy treats to brighten someone’s day. He was also known for gifting two-dollar bills for special occasions such as birthdays and Christmas. He spent countless hours visiting with people, especially at the local barber shop. LeMoyne faithfully delivered church bulletins and Portals Of Prayer to the Traverse Care Center each week. He was also known for visiting residents two to three days a week—and without fail every Friday—to bring a donut to a special resident. LeMoyne had a gift for making others feel good and bringing a smile to their faces. He would cheerfully grin and tell people of any age, “God bless you, kid!”
LeMoyne was also a passionate collector and history buff, especially when it came to Native American arrowheads, pipes, books, paintings, and stories. He was an avid collector of antique guns, horse leathers, and duck stamps as well. LeMoyne loved to talk about his collections, and he had the books and history to back up every story he shared. He enjoyed his hobbies immensely and found great joy in sharing them with others.
LeMoyne is survived by his daughter Janis Cook of Wheaton, MN; brother Gordon (Ruth) Bock of Wheaton, MN; sister Karen Kenny of San Diego, CA; sister-in-law Barb Bock of Wheaton, MN; grandson Lee Bock of Wheaton, MN; three great grandchildren: Mariah, Logan and Axel Bock.
LeMoyne is preceded in death by his wife June Bock; parents Walter and Esther Bock; son Duane Bock; and brothers: Kenneth “Buckwheat” Bock and Willy Bock.
