Funeral Services for Leland F. Stradley of Herman will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Federated Church in Morris, MN. Rev. Hilda Parks will officiate. Lee passed away Sunday morning at the St. Cloud Hospital. He was 75 years old. There will be a visitation at the Ranney Funeral Chapel in Herman on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8 PM. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening. Interment will be at 1:30 PM on Thursday at the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Herman. Pallbearers are Bill Ness, Claude Sperr, Larry Kill, Chester Lamb, Doyle Sperr, and Harold Anderson. Lee was born in Aurora, Nebraska on June 15, 1931 to Fredrick and Hester (Ogg) Stradley. Lee attended school in Herman. After school he joined the U.S. Army and served for 22 years and received many awards and medals. After retiring from the service, Lee then spent the next 20 years as a cook in the Food Services Department for the state of New Jersey. Following retirement from there, he moved back to Herman. Lee was a member of the Ashby American Legion and the Federated Church in Morris. Lee loved to golf and spent many good days on the golf course in Elbow Lake. Just last week he missed a hole-in-one by only 3 inches. Leland is survived by his wife of 10 years. Becky of Herman, 1 son: Jason (Judy) Stradley of Boilingbrook, Illinois, 4 grandchildren, 2 brothers: Phillip Robert (Kay) Stradley of Crofton, MD and William (Evelyn) Stradley of Prosser, WA, 1 sister-in-law: Arline Grob of Norcross and 1 brother-in-law: Martin (Joanie) Ness of Elbow Lake, many nieces and nephews.
