Funeral Mass for Lisa Jo Kraus, age 27, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Friday, November 30, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton with Fr. Joe Vandeberg and Fr. Stanley Wieser Celebrants. Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Johnson, Erica Johnson, Thayne Johnson, Shaun Siegel, Stacy Hennessy, Anna Strangland and Trent Conroy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Doll, Stefanie Gaulrapp, Brenda & Jerry Fischer, Joanne Kremer, Monica Keppler, Roxy Fischer, Laurie Appel, Katie Murphy and Shirley Johnson. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Time of Sharing Service at Ave Maria Catholic Church. Visitation will continue Friday morning one hour prior to service time at the church. Interment will be in West Lakeside Cemetery, rural Wheaton. Lisa was born January 8, 1985 in Wheaton, Minnesota to Jim and Pam Kraus. She was baptized and confirmed at Ave Maria Catholic Church, graduated from Wheaton High School in 2003 and continued to live in rural Wheaton. Lisa loved volunteering and helping others. She had fun working with flowers and volunteering at Roxy's Greenhouse. She also loved kids and volunteered at Little Flock for many years, the kids made her feel so special. She loved country music and attended many concerts. Lisa loved her animals, spending time at the lake and visiting with the Fischer's. Lisa slept in, stayed up late visiting with her mom and watching her soapies. She even got her dad hooked on her soapies and she loved discussing them with him. She loved it when her family was all together. Lisa had a very special relationship with her mom. She was very close to her sisters and loved being part of the five Kraus girls. She was such a proud aunt, Blake was the light of her life and she helped babysit him. Lisa loved to argue, always had a come back, liked to give people a hard time, and had to have the last word. She loved to visit and had special pen pals. Lisa touched many lives for the short time she was here and has made a lasting impression on our community. Lisa passed away unexpectedly in her mother's arms and family by her side at 10:28 pm, November 26, 2012 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, North Dakota. Lisa is survived by her parents Jim and Pam Kraus, she's the second of five sisters: Sara (Kevin) Ballhagen, Katy (Adam) Lichtsinn, Kimberly Kraus, Carrie Kraus (Sean Witte), two nephews Austin and Blake Ballhagen, grandparents Wally and Pauline Johnson, all of Wheaton, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by a baby brother, Grandparents Vern and Anna Kraus, Godparents Les (dip-stick) and Kathy Kraus, Cory Lee Nelson who was like a brother, Uncle Mike Montgomery, Aunt Janet Kraus, her dog Shiloh, many fish, snails, frogs and birds.
