A Private Family Graveside Service will be held for Lois Phyllis (Janke) Kaschmitter at Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton, MN, with Father Stan Wieser officiating.

Lois passed away at the Traverse Care Center, Wheaton, MN, on March 18, 2021.  She will be buried beside her parents Alvin and Verna Olson.

Lois was born in Graceville, MN on October 16, 1935, the only child to Alvin and Verna (Bretzke) Olson.  Lois graduated from Wheaton High School in 1953, where she loved participating in cheerleading and playing in the marching band.  There she met Horace Janke an avid sports player.  They married on October 23, 1954.  They had one son Keith David Janke.  Lois loved animals, especially horses and dogs.  They farmed and raised championship Arabian horses on their farm just outside of Wheaton.  Lois’s working career was in the medical field, starting at Potter Drug (now Wheaton Drug).  She also worked for local Dentists and Dr. Stanley Gallagher.  She retired from Health Partners Insurance Company in Minneapolis, MN.  Lois and Horace divorced in 1974.  Lois married Fred Kaschmitter on August 14, 1999.  Lois and Fred lived happily in White Bear Lake, MN until her coming to the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton.

Lois is survived by her only son, Keith (Susan) Janke of Wheaton, MN; one grandson, Jason (Bobbi) Janke of Wheaton, MN; one granddaughter, Janeen (Andrew) Rowland of Dwight, ND; and two great grandchildren: Jackson and Laura Rowland of Dwight, ND.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Verna Olson; her ex-husband Horace Janke; and her husband Fred Kaschmitter.
