A Memorial Service for Marilyn Jean Sather of Fargo, North Dakota, formerly of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Ranney Funeral Chapel in Wheaton with Pastor Tom Olson officiating. Interment will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Wheaton. Marilyn passed away at her home in Fargo on Sunday, May 8, 2011. She was 57 years old. Marilyn was born October 2nd, 1953 in Wheaton, Minnesota, the daughter of Donald and Esther (Boehmlehner) Ehlers. Marilyn grew up and went to school in Wheaton, Minnesota. Marilyn was married to Paul T. Sather in 1970 and had two children Bradley Allen Sather born in 1970 and Sara Lynn (Sather) Gerraughty in 1973. Marilyn and Paul divorced in 1974. Marilyn had been in a relationship with Ron Werner of Fargo for many years upon her death. Marilyn worked for Westinghouse in Fargo for many years until she was in a major car accident in 1985 which left her unable to work full-time. Marilyn worked as a greeter at the Wal-Mart store in Dilworth, Minnesota for the past few years. Marilyn loved to be with her kids and grandkids and especially loved the holidays when she could spend time with her family. Marilyn will be remembered for her strong will to live and survive through all the tough times in her life. She touched many people throughout her life and she will not be forgotten. Marilyn is survived by two children: Bradley Sather and his fiancé Sharlene Cusey of Fargo, daughter Sara Gerraughty of Fargo, three grandchildren: Dylan and Britta Sather of Fargo, and Joey Gerraughty of Boston, Massachusetts, one brother Larry and wife Linda Ehlers of Wheaton, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Esther Ehlers, her sister Nira (Ehlers) Mesker, and a nephew, Kevin Ehlers. Marilyn was loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
