Funeral Service for Marlo LeRoy Warholm, 86, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethlehem Covenant Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Pastor Tim Shekleton officiating. Organist will be Cheryl Shekleton with special music provided by Dennis Johnson. Pallbearers will be Marlos grandchildren: Tami Zimmel, Stacy Gerwin, Lisa Davidson, Vicki Peters, Crystal Wiles, Randy Klugman and Shanna Wohlenhaus. Honorary Pallbearers will be All of Marlos many friends . Interment will be in Zion Cemetery, rural Wheaton. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 16th from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service at the Bethlehem Covenant Church. Visitation will continue Thursday morning, one hour prior to service time. Marlo was born in Wheaton Minnesota on February 18, 1924 to Gustav and Anna (Anderson) Warholm. He was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Mission Church. He grew up and went to country school and graduated from the eighth grade. He worked in the Wheaton Creamery and also helped his Dad on the farm. He married Doris Sellden Dec. 15, 1945. He farmed with his Dad on the family farm, and in 1947 they bought their own farm, where he resided until his death. The union was blessed with three children, Jean, Dale, and Kathleen. Marlo was a board member of Clifton Township for 48 years. He was active in the Zion Mission Church until it dissolved, when then they joined the Bethlehem Covenant Church, where he remained a faithful member for the remainder of his life. Marlo retired from farming in 1988. After that they spent a lot of time camping on Stalker Lake, fishing with grandkids and having a great time. He liked gardening and taking care of their yard, giving away the extra produce to friends and family. Marlo and Doris enjoyed going visiting and playing cards. He enjoyed many years of hunting with family for pheasants and deer, with many stories to tell. Marlo and Doris spent many summer days sitting in the garage and watching birds, pheasants and deer. Marlo passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at his residence in rural Wheaton. Marlo is survived by his wife, Doris Warholm of Wheaton, Minnesota, three children: Jean (Glen) Drafahl of Woodville, Ohio, Dale (Diane) Warholm of Burnsville, Minnesota, and Kathleen (Dennis) Klugman of Wheaton, Minnesota, Grandchildren: Tammy Zimmel of Ohio, Stacy (Glen) Gerwin of Ohio, and their daughter Alysia, Lisa (Brian) Davidson of Minnesota, and their children Erika and Ben, Vicki (Brian) Peters of Minnesota and their children Carson and Alison, Crystal ( John) Wiles of South Dakota and their sons Jackson and Jameson, Randy Klugman of North Dakota, and Shanna (Matt) Wohlenhaus of Minnesota and their daughter Adelyn, Sister-in-law, Leona (Warholm) Hakenson and her husband Milton. Marlo was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Delores and brother, John.
