Myron was born October 24, 1929 in Wheaton, Minnesota to Clifford and Arline (Hess) Janke. He was baptized and confirmed at the then Taylor E.U.B. Church and was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church.

He attended rural school at District 28 and graduated from Tintah High School in 1947. He began his farming career at an early age due to his father's death in 1949 and later his mother's death in 1952. In 1954 he married Rosemary West and they celebrated sixty-two years of marriage last July 18th. To this union three children were born: Melodi, Lowell and Warren.

At a young age Myron enjoyed fishing, bowling and softball. He farmed until 2008 when he was forced to retire due to a stroke, but the farm was still his interest. He was also a carpenter and built several area homes. Myron and Rosemary spent thirty-three winters in Tucson, Arizona where they formed lasting friendships.

Myron is survived by his wife Rosemary of Wheaton; three children: Melodi (Craig) Johansen of Ryder, North Dakota; Lowell Janke of Mesa, Arizona; Warren Janke of Stewart, Minnesota; three grandchildren: Nicolette Janke of Seattle, Washington; Taylor Janke of Stewart, Minnesota and Trevor Janke of Duluth, Minnesota; one great-grandson Jace Myron Janke of Duluth, Minnesota; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Myron was preceded in death by his parents, sister Eleanor Widhalm, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Myron will be remembered as being a hard worker, honest and a loyal friend to all who knew him.
