Peggy attended school in St. Thomas skipping the second grade and graduating at the age of seventeen. She attended Moorhead State Teachers College obtaining a two-year teaching certificate completing her student teaching in Park Rapids, MN. They took that opportunity and the family moved to Wheaton where they raised their family with Steven, Mark, and Gregg joining them.
Peg cherished her many years in Wheaton residing in the family home for fifty-seven years, raising the four boys, and supporting Ron in Ron’s Clothing and Bon Jos. She served the community through her participation in the hospital auxiliary, women’s club, Wheaton Country Club auxiliary, and cub scout den mother. She was a woman of strong faith as a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and participated in the Ruth circle. She was particularly proud of having been part of the same bridge club for almost 60 years.
