Robert "Bob" Brewster, age 77, of Browns Valley, Minnesota, formerly of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the Browns Valley Health Center in Browns Valley, Minnesota.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Sisseton, South Dakota with Rev. Joshua Knudsen officiating. Organist will be Ollie Yost with Special Music by Pat Schubert. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in the Sisseton Cemetery.

Robert Sebion Brewster was born August 5, 1946 to Donald and Mabel (Johnson) Brewster in Sisseton, South Dakota.  He attended school in Sisseton graduating in 1964. Bob was a starter on the Sisseton Redmen basketball team that one the State Tournament in 1963. The team was considered one of the best teams in South Dakota history.

Robert then attended the University of South Dakota on a full ride basketball scholarship.  While attending USD he enrolled in the Army ROTC program.  Upon graduation he entered the Army as a 2nd Lt. and was stationed at Fort Ord in California for the duration of his active duty.

Once Bob was discharged from the Army, he moved back to Minnesota to attend the University of Minnesota to pursue his MBA degree.  While in Minneapolis he was offered a job in California with a finance company so a move was made to Palo Alto, California.  Once there he worked and finished his MBA at the University of Santa Clare.

After receiving his MBA degree another move was made to Great Falls, Montana where he held the position of Chief Finance Officer for a Caterpillar Dealership.

Then in 1977 Bob moved back to Sisseton to run Ready Mix with his brother Douglas Brewster.  Bob and Doug ran Sisseton Ready Mix together until December of 1982.  At that time, he moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado.

In Colorado Springs Bob joined another concrete company, Transit Mix.   He stayed with this company from 1982 to 2008.  During these years he held many management positions retiring at the age of 62 as a Vice President.

Robert moved back to South Dakota in March of 2022 for health reasons.   Aside from work, he enjoyed golf and racket ball.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Nicole Brewster; brother Doug Brewster and sister-in-law Judy (Schelsky) Brewster;

Robert is survived by his sons: Aaron (Kelly) Brewster of Denver, CO; and Zachary Brewster of Colorado Springs, CO; sister Kathy (John) Schaunaman of Sisseton, SD; and many nieces and nephews.
