Timothy Joseph Kellen, age 62, of Beardsley, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Tim was born on April 7, 1964, in Graceville, Minnesota, to Paul and Mary Ann Kellen. He grew up in Beardsley, MN where he learned the values of hard work, kindness, and perseverance as a farm boy. Those values remained with him throughout his life.
He proudly spent his career as both a farmer and a truck driver. Whether he was behind the wheel of a semi or working the fields, Tim took pride in an honest day's work and in providing for his family.
Above all else, Tim loved his family and friends. No matter what, he was always there for the people he loved, offering unwavering support, a listening ear, and unconditional love. He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, especially taking them for rides in the truck or on the tractor and sharing the simple joys of everyday life. He also loved cruising with his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
Tim had a quick wit and an unforgettable sense of humor. He was always ready with a good joke or a playful wisecrack, never missing an opportunity to make someone smile or laugh. His laughter, stories, and playful spirit will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him. His family will especially miss the tight hugs that made them feel safe and loved, and the gentle forehead kisses that reminded them just how deeply they were cherished.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Melodie Kellen; his children: Candi (Jack) Goodrich, Amanda (Jose) Valtierra, Kayla (Jeff) Cosman, and Ryan Kellen; his cherished grandchildren: Mason, Izabella, Jaxon, Juan, Melodie, A'Mira, A'Nia, Ryan, Hailli, and Lea; his mother, Mary Ann Kellen; his siblings: Rose, Curt (Kristi), Tom (Kristin), and Patti; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Hanson; his father, Paul Kellen; his brother, Kenny Kellen; and his sister-in-law, Nance Kellen.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota, with Rev. Cheryl Berg officiating. Interment will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Wheaton.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 1st, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a 6:30 p.m. Prayer Service and Time of Sharing at Bainbridge Funeral Home in Wheaton. Visitation will continue Thursday from noon until the time of service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Pallbearers will be Tom Kellen, Curt Kellen, Candi Goodrich (Jack), Amanda Valtierra-Kellen (Luis), Kayla Cosman (Jeff), Mason Goodrich, Izabella Goodrich, Jaxon Goodrich and Ryan Kellen Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Juan Valtierra Dunbar, Halli Kellen, Lea Kellen, Melodie Kellen, A'Mira Valtierra-Kellen, A'Nia Valtierra-Kellen, and Ryan Kellen.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Mayo Hospital for the compassionate care they provided to Tim and the kindness they showed his family.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Tim's legacy lives on through the love he shared, the lessons he taught, the laughter he inspired, and the countless memories he created with those who knew him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
