Wanda Alice James, age 68, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, April 24, 2026. She was born on October 7, 1957, in Wheaton, Minnesota. Wanda was the beloved daughter of Ralph and Myrtle James.
At the age of five, Wanda moved with her family to the Denver area, where she would spend the majority of her life building deep roots, meaningful relationships, and a legacy centered on love and faith.
Wanda was a devoted mother and grandmother. She welcomed her first son, John Johnson, in 1983, and later her son James Rockwell in 1990. Her greatest joy came from her family, whom she loved fiercely and unconditionally.
She is survived by her son John, his wife Amanda, and their children Jadon, Azariah, and Charis; her son James and his daughter Isla; her cherished best friend Linda Colbert, whom she affectionately called sister; her sister Suzanne Stevenson; and her niece Lara Kernan, her husband Chris and their children Austin, Ian, and Amelia.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Myrtle, and her brothers, Harry and Perry.
On April 24, 2026, sealed by the promises found in John 3:16 and John 14:1–4, 6, Wanda was released from her earthly suffering and welcomed into the presence of her Heavenly Father, and she now basks in the eternal radiance of God.
Wanda will be remembered for her strength, her unwavering love for her family, and her enduring faith. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in all who knew and loved her.
