William Peyton

Funeral Service for William Bill Peyton will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Fr. Joe Vandeberg and Fr. Stanley Wieser officiating. Pallbearers will be Kelly Peyton, Dean Peyton, Dustin Peyton, Joe Peyton, Nate Weick and Jason Pearson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lisa Rensberry, Kari Peyton, Carly Peyton, Stefanie Peyton, Anne Peyton, Lane Peyton, Heather Blahosky, Anna Gaffaney, Amanda Ramirez, Sarah Murray, Emily Smith, Elizabeth Weick, Brittany Pearson, Grant Pearson, Meghan Larson and McKenna Larson. Organist will be Cindy Sanasack. Interment will be in Graceville Lakeside Consolidated Cemetery, Graceville, Minnesota. Visitation will be held Monday, June 8th from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service at the Ave Maria Catholic Church. William Bill Columbus Peyton was born on May 14, 1927 in Graceville, MN, to Columbus and Margaret (Burns) Peyton. Bill was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith. Bill attended country school in Croke Township. He went on to attend the Morris Ag School and entered the Navy on April 2, 1945. Bill was honorably discharged from the service on July 20, 1946 and returned to Dumont, MN where he began farming. Bill was united in marriage to Delores Dolly Doll on September 11, 1952 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Dumont, MN. Together they were blessed with five children: Christine, Michael, Patrick, Thomas, and Robert. Bill and Dolly continued to live on the farm in Walls Township where they raised their five children. Dolly passed away in 1989. Bill was united in marriage to Shirley Murray on November 27, 1998. Bill and Shirley resided in Wheaton, MN. They enjoyed traveling and spending the winter in Yuma, AZ. Bill was a member of the St. Peters Catholic Church, Ave Maria Catholic Church, Dumont Legion, and Graceville Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, visiting friends and family, and going for a drive. Bill is survived by his wife: Shirley Peyton of Wheaton, Children: Chris (Greg) Christen of Onalaska, WI, Mike (Patty) Peyton of Wheaton, Pat (LeAnn) Peyton of Dumont, Tom (Mary) Peyton of Wheaton and Rob (Mariah) Peyton of Ferryville, WI, one sister: Ruth Olson of Whittier, CA, Grandchildren: Lisa Rensberry, Kelly Peyton, Kari Peyton, Dean Peyton, Dustin Peyton, Carly Peyton, Stefanie Peyton, Joe Peyton, Anne Peyton & Lane Peyton, Great-Grandchildren: Peyton Rensberry, Rylee Rensberry, Mallory Peyton & Nora Peyton, Step-Children: Randall Murray of Wheaton, Lynn Smith of Breckenridge, MN, Lori (Bryan) Weick of Wahpeton, ND, Mary Jo (Mark) Pearson of Rosholt, SD and Karen (Brad) Larson of Wheaton, twelve Step-Grandchildren: Heather Blahosky, Anna Gaffaney, Amanda Ramirez, Sarah Murray, Emily Smith, Nate Weick, Elizabeth Weick, Jason Pearson, Brittany Pearson, Grant Pearson, Meghan Larson, & McKenna Larson, step Great-Grandchildren: Wyatt Blahosky, Autumn Blahosky, Meghan Gaffaney, Benjamin Gaffaney, Madison Gaffaney, Aleisia Ramirez, Alejandro Ramirez, Seth Murray, Sasha Murray & Austin Ellingson He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Dolly, and brother Robert.
