A Funeral Mass for Winifred "Winnie" Marth, age 84, of Herman, Minnesota will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Herman with Fr. Mike Kellogg Celebrant. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, rural Herman. Visitation will be held Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church. Winnie Marth was born on January 31, 1929 in Donnelly, Minnesota to parents Joseph and Mabel (Aanerud) Holdgrafer. After graduating valedictorian of Alberta High School, Winnie went to a dance in Donnelly, Minnesota where she met Bill Marth. On June 22, 1949, Bill and Winnie were united in marriage. Together they raised six children on their farm east of Herman, Minnesota. Winnie loved to garden, sew, bake, and go antiquing. She also enjoyed spending time at St. Charles Catholic Church whether it be decorating or organizing special events. The Legion Auxiliary was also the beneficiary of her time and talents. With six children and six grandchildren, Winnie spent a lot of time attending various sporting events, plays and band concerts. She absolutely loved shopping.especially for red and black clothing. Although she was unable to do as much in her later years, Winnie still loved "going" anywhere, any time, or any place. Winnie just loved riding in the car. Of all the things Winnie enjoyed doing, what she truly loved the most was spending time with her husband and family. Winnie passed away on November 19, 2013 at Johnson's Home Plus in Barrett, Minnesota. Winnie is survived by her husband Bill of Herman; six children: Vicki Trosvig of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; Becky Stark (John Craven) of Austin, Texas; Sally (Duane) DeGagne of Bovey, Minnesota; Kathy Stonehouse of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota; John Marth of Herman, Minnesota and Chris (Jim) Coleman of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota; six grandchildren: Abby (Scott) Hartman of Richfield, Minnesota; Mallory Stonehouse of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Joella Stonehouse of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota; Kayla Stonehouse of Denver, Colorado; and Kendra and Patrick Coleman of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota; one great-grandson Arrow Hartman of Richfield, Minnesota; and two sisters: Dorothy Buchal of Roseville, Minnesota and Marian (Allen) Wojtalewicz of Moorhead, Minnesota. Winnie was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Mabel (Aanerud) Holdgrafer.
