Shirley Gaulrapp

Shirley May Gaulrapp, age 91, of Herman, Minnesota passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Sanford Hospital in Wheaton.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bainbridge Funeral Home in Wheaton with Fr. Stanley Wieser officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the Bainbridge Funeral Home.

Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Chicopee, Massachusetts at a later date.

Shirley was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts on August 29, 1930.  She was married to her first husband, Donald LaBelle, who predeceased her, for forty-four years.  She worked as a secretary for her husband, an accomplished home builder, for many years while they raised their four children.  She married her second love, Donald “Bud” Gaulrapp, five years ago and they lived very happily until her passing.

Her passion in life was music.  At a young age, she began performing for audiences because of her beautiful voice and her many musical talents.  She taught herself how to play guitar and piano.  As a senior, she participated in many performances with well-known singers, guitar players and other musicians.

She leaves behind her husband Donald; children: Francis LaBelle and his wife Carol, Donna Cabot, Douglas LaBelle and Cheryl Emmanouilidis; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; her sister Joyce Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley and her musical gifts will be sorely missed by her many friends and family.
